NY Jets passing defense is ranked 4th in the NFL

The New England Patriots have all but wrapped up the AFC East. A win on Thursday night could be the final nail in the coffin.

The Patriots are set to visit the New York Jets in Week 12 to cap off the NFL Thanksgiving schedule. The game is set to kick off at 8:202 p.m. ET on NBC at MetLife Stadium. You can watch a free live stream online at NBCSports.com.

The Jets are looking to turnaround their season, thought it may be too little too late. They beat the St. Louis Rams last week, but might have to win the rest of their games to have a chance of making the playoffs. New York hasn’t exactly shown that they are capable of going on such a run. At 4-6, four of their losses have come by at least 17 points.

The two teams faced each other on Oct. 21, with the Patriots needed overtime to pull out the victory. It was one of Mark Sanchez’s better games in 2012. He threw for 328 yards, but committed a fumble that ended New York’s chances of pulling off the upset.

Since their last meeting, the Patriots have yet to lose. Tom Brady has played as well as any quarterback back over that time. He’s thrown 11 touchdowns and no interceptions in his last four games.

Brady will be without one of his top targets, and the best tight end in football. It’s New England’s first game since Rob Gronkowski broke his forearm. He will miss the rest of the season.

The Patriots are expected to pick up the road win. According to the consensus betting line at most Las Vegas sportsbooks, New England is a seven-point favorite.

Prediction: The Jets had a good win last week, but they’ve been inconsistent all year. They haven’t been able to stop the run, so Steven Ridley should have a big game. Tim Tebow may see more playing time then usual, but it won;t be enough. The combination of him and Brady will be too much for New York.

Predicted Score: New England 38, New York 17
