Looks like “Guitar Hero” is back (well, most likely back). On Monday, Activision released a trailer that showed musicians playing at a rock concert, hinting at a musical-themed video game. The 15-second video ended with “it’s about to get real” and the date “4.14.15.”

Earlier this year, rumors that popular music video game franchises “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band” were coming to the eighth-generation Xbox One and PlayStation 4 surfaced after sources at publisher Activision leaked the details to Kotaku.

In late February, sources confirmed that the franchise reboot would be announced during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June, with a full release in the second half of 2015.

The last “Guitar Hero” installment, "Warriors of Rock, came out nearly five years ago, in late September 2010. Featuring 93 punk, alternative rock and classic rock songs, it reached the Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The title’s sales were disappointing -- only 86,000 units in the United States across all platforms in its first week. Activision closed its “Guitar Hero” business in February 2011, along with its planned sequel.
