There is a ninth Harry Potter film being made for the Universal Studios theme parks that will be shown in the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” attraction.

But Harry Potter fans who have grown to love the J.K. Rowling series shouldn’t get their wands and butterbeer ready just yet. The film won’t be released until 2014 at the attractions in California and Florida. It will reportedly be shown in Japan in 2016 after construction on the theme park there is done.

Perez Hilton reported that the cast is excited to get back together but neither Daniel Radcliffe nor Emma Watson has been confirmed to star in the movie.

The celebrity blogger revealed, however, that Helena Bonham Carter, who plays Belatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter series, has already been confirmed for the film. But her Internet Movie Data Base profile does not say she is currently involved in a ninth HP film.

"The cast have really enjoyed getting back together - they are so tight-knit,” a source told the blogger.

The Sun revealed they are supposed to be “secretly” filming, especially since the eighth movie that was made for theaters was supposed to be the last.

The only place to see the “mini-film” will be at the Hogwarts theme parks, and the plot is currently unknown.

A source explained to The Sun about the mystery adventure: “The shooting schedule is nowhere near as long as the films, so though filming has been intense. The stars have enjoyed being able to pop in and out.”

Over a decade, the eight films from the Harry Potter series brought in nearly $6.5 billion worldwide.

Universal Studios has not commented on the "secret" ninth Harry Potter film, and it is currently unknown whether J.K. Rowling will be involved in writing the ninth script or she will have a say in the mini-film.
