New Year’s Eve is a long night. From the parties to the ball drop, many celebrate the New Year well past midnight. Fortunately, most people have off from work or school for New Year’s Day. Whether you’re enjoying a carefree afternoon or nursing a hangover, we’ve rounded up 20 TV shows that will be airing marathons all day to help you ring in the New Year on Thursday, Jan. 1.

1. “Rehab Addict” On DIY Network

Is your New Year’s resolution to fix-up your house? DIY has just the thing for you to watch on Jan. 1. A marathon of “Rehab Addict,” starring Nicole Curtis, will kick off at 7 a.m. EST and end at 11:30 p.m. EST. Fans of the show, which follows Nicole as she saves historic houses, can also watch brand new back-to-back episodes at 9 p.m. EST and 9:30 p.m. EST.

2. “The Simpsons” On FXX

Laugh all day long with Homer, Bart and the rest of the Simpsons family. FXX will air a marathon of “The Simpsons” all day long, beginning at 12 a.m. EST on Jan. 1 and concluding at 10 p.m. EST with the 2007 flick, “The Simpsons Movie.” Multiple episodes of the Halloween specials, “Treehouse of Horror,” will air throughout the day.

3. “Portlandia” On IFC

“Portlandia” returns to IFC for its fifth season on Jan. 8 – but fans don’t have to wait until then to watch. The sketch-comedy series, which stars Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, will air old episodes starting at 6 a.m. EST on Thursday, Jan. 1. The marathon fun will continue into Friday, Jan. 2.

4. “Ridiculousness” On MTV

Prepare for the Season 6 premiere of “Ridiculousness” by binge watching old episodes. The laughs with Rob Dyrdek and friends actually begins with an all-day marathon on Wednesday, Dec. 31. The marathon will continue into New Year’s Day and conclude with the Season 6 premiere episode at 10:30 p.m. EST and 11 p.m. EST.

5. “MythBusters” On Science Channel

It’s out with the old and in with the new when “MythBusters” returns to the Discovery Channel on Jan. 10 with new episodes. But those that don’t like change can still watch old episodes thanks to a marathon on the Science Channel. The network has a three day marathon going on, kicking off on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 11 a.m. EST and concluding Saturday, Jan. 3 at 2 a.m. EST.

6. “Twilight Zone” On Syfy

Get sucked into the “Twilight Zone” on New Year’s Day. The eerie tales from the 1960’s will air throughout the day on Thursday, beginning at 12 a.m. EST on Syfy, and ending at 11:30 p.m. EST. A partial marathon will air on Friday, Jan. 2. TBS Friends

7. “NCIS” On USA

Solve some crimes with Gibbs, DiNozzo and McGee on Jan. 1. USA Network will air a marathon that kicks off at 6 a.m. EST with the Season 11 premiere episode from 2013, “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.” The binge watching will continue into the early morning on Friday, ending at 3 a.m. EST.

8. “Dating Naked” On VH1

Start 2015 … naked? VH1 will air every episode from Season 1 of their new reality show, “Dating Naked.” The marathon will premiere with the “Lost Episode” at 5 a.m. EST, and conclude with the special wedding episode at 3 p.m. EST.

9. The Tudors” On BBC America

Go back in time with Jonathan Rhys Meyers in “The Tudors.” The series, which followed King Henry VIII of England in the 16th century, ended in 2010. Fans can relive the drama with a marathon on BBC America that begins at 8 a.m. EST and concludes on Friday, Jan. 1 at 1 a.m. EST.

10. “The Walking Dead” On AMC

Are you behind on “The Walking Dead”? Not anymore! Season 5 of the hit series returns on Feb. 8, but AMC is treating fans to a marathon of every single episode. The New Year’s marathon actually began on Tuesday, Dec. 30, and will continue to Saturday, Jan. 3 at 5 a.m. EST. Those looking to actually ring in 2015 with the zombie show can watch “Home” with Merle and Daryl at 11 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Dec. 31.

11. “Futurama” On Comedy Central

Get a look at the future with a “Futurama” marathon on Comedy Central. The animated comedy will start at 9:21 a.m. EST and end at 5:26 p.m. EST.

12. HGTV Premieres

HGTV is starting 2015 with brand new episodes of their hit shows. While it’s not technically a marathon, check out all the Jan. 1 premieres happening on the network:

14. “Real Husbands of Hollywood” On BET

Laugh with Kevin Hart, Duane Martin, Boris Kodjoe, Nick Cannon and Nelly during BET’s “Real Husbands of Hollywood” marathon. The fun starts at 10 a.m. EST and concludes at 9:30 p.m. EST.

15. “Married at First Sight” On FYI

Relive the good moments and the bad with FYI’s “Married at First Sight” marathon. The back-to-back episodes begin at 10 a.m. EST with the casting special, and conclude at 10 p.m. EST with the “6 Months Later” two-hour special.

16. “Cops Reloaded” On CMT

Watch some of the most memorable criminals and car chases in CMT’s “Cops Reloaded.” The marathon will air brand new episodes and begin at 11 a.m. EST.

17. “Fargo” On FXM

FX’s hit series, “Fargo,” will air in its entirety on sister network FXM. Catch the premiere episode at 2 p.m. EST.

18. “Pawn Stars” on History

Learn a little something during a short marathon of History Channel’s “Pawn Stars.” Back-to-back episodes will begin at 4 p.m. EST and end at 11:32 p.m. EST.

19. “My Strange Addiction” On TLC

Set a New Year’s resolution while watching “My Strange Addiction” on TLC. From “extreme toenails” to eating mattresses, there is something to make everyone feel better during the short marathon. Episodes start at 2 p.m. EST and end at 7 p.m. EST.

20. Little Women: LA” On Lifetime

Binge watch “Little Women: LA” leading up to the special Season 2 “Kickoff.” The marathon begins at 11 a.m. EST with the Season 2 kickoff airing at 8 p.m. EST, and episode 1 premiering at 9 p.m. EST.
