More than 50,000 runners are expected to begin the 2016 New York City Marathon at the Verrazano Bridge in Staten Island on Nov. 6. Getty Images

The New York City Marathon will take place Sunday, with over 50,000 people participating in the 26.2-mile run, the world’s largest marathon. Here’s all the information you need to know about start time, course route, road blocks and live stream details for this year’s marathon.

Route map: The race begins from the southern tip of Staten Island, goes through Brooklyn, into Queens and Manhattan, then the Bronx, and finishes winding back to Manhattan’s Central Park. The entire course route can be seen here.

Start time: The marathon kicks off at 8:30 a.m. EST with the Professional Wheelchair Division. Professional women start running at 9:20 a.m. EDT, while the bulk of the run, including professional men, gets under way in four waves beginning at 9:50 a.m. EST.

Where to watch: In the NYC-area, the race can be watched on ABC7NY.com from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. EST. The rest of the country can watch it on WatchESPN from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ESPN3 will also live stream the race from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., as well as a view of the finish line from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, the race will be available in Spanish via ESPN Deportes+.

On TV, you can watch the live broadcast on ESPN2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. EST.

To watch the race on your smartphones, you can download either the WatchABC (for New York residents) or WatchESPN (for national audiences) apps through the App Store or Google Play Store and watch the race for free.

How to find results: New York City Marathon results can be monitored online at the TCS website. People can track runners by names or bib numbers or by watching the leaderboard. There is also a mobile app to track results.

Road closures: Because of the race, a number of bridges and roads throughout the five boroughs will be closed in whole or in part. Here is the list of road closures.
