The New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers are set to square off in Week 4 of the 2012 NFL season.

The contest begins at 1 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium. The game will be broadcast on Fox. If you can’t get to a TV or don’t have the game in your local market, you can watch a live stream online by purchasing NFL Sunday Ticket Max.

Despite traveling 3,000 miles to play New York, San Francisco is expected to win. They’re favored by four points at most sportsbooks.

The Jets are coming off a win against the Dolphins, but they received devastating news on Monday. Darrelle Revis left Sunday’s game with a torn ACL and won’t play the rest of the season.

New York’s defense will most certainly be hurt by the loss of the cornerback. He is the team’s best overall player, and Alex Smith will look to take advantage of a weakened secondary.

Former first-round pick Kyle Wilson will take Revis’ spot across from Antonio Cromartie. The tandem will look to stop the wide receiving corps of Michael Crabtree, Mario Manningham and Randy Moss.

Smith will try to help the 49ers bounce back from their first loss of the year. San Francisco was upset in Minnesota, losing to the Vikings in a game that wasn’t very competitive.

The 49ers were considered to be the best team in the league until their Week 3 loss. They have one of the top defenses in the NFL, shutting down Green Bay and Detroit in the first two weeks of 2012.

Mark Sanchez might have trouble against the 49ers. After exploding for three touchdowns in the opener, the Jets quarterback has completed just 43 percent of his passes for two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Tim Tebow will likely take a few snaps in the contest. He’s played in all three games, but still hasn’t attempted a pass. Tebow has played at wide receiver with Sanchez at quarterback, but has yet to catch a pass.

Prediction: The 49ers showed last Sunday that they can be beaten, losing to a team that won just three games last year. Clubs from the West Coast that travel to the East don’t often have much success. The Jets won’t get blown out, but it’ll be tough for Sanchez to play well against such a good defense. Smith should be able to throw for enough yards with Revis sidelined to give the 49ers the victory.

Predicted Score: San Francisco 23, New York 17
