Weekend news anchor Jillian Pavlica admits her love for breaking news on her professional website.

“I have a passion for breaking news. Nothing gets your adrenaline going more,” Pavlica, whose latest story might just be her favorite to date, said Pavlica, of Fox 54 in Huntsville, Ala., was surprised on air Saturday night after her now-fiancé successfully executed a live, on-air proposal.

Pavlica had been told by her producers to report a breaking news story before a segment but was instead surprised by a script that told her she was about to become a Mrs., according to Fox 54.

“FOX54 has just learned that a Huntsville news anchor is being proposed to on live TV right now,” Pavlica said as her two fellow news anchors disappeared off camera only to be replaced by Pavlica’s then boyfriend, Vince.

“For years, we’ve talked about this moment. For years, you told me to be patient and our time would come. Finally, all of our pieces are falling together, and I can’t picture a day in my life without waking up with you by my side,” Vince said as the couple can be seen laughing, kissing and eventually crying before the studio erupts in applause.

“I feel like I’m dreaming,” Pavlica said. “You had this planned all along!”

Pavlica tweeted out a special message to her Twitter followers on Sunday saying, “Still can’t believe I’m engaged. We’ve been together for six years, and I’m just thrilled. Thank you all.”

This is not the first newsroom proposal. In 2011, WJBF weatherwoman Jenna Lee Thomas was also surprised by her then boyfriend, Eric Wright, after he showed up in a tuxedo during a live broadcast in Augusta, Ga.
