The AFC wild-card race is coming down to the wire, and three teams are battling for two spots. But if the Week 16 betting lines are any indication, the two playoff berths could be decided before the final week of the regular season.

The Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers hold the No.5 and No.6 seeds in the AFC, respectively, and they control their own postseason destiny. A win for each team, as well as a loss for the New York Jets, would clinch a playoff berth for both wild-card contenders. The Chiefs are the second-biggest favorites of Week 16, giving the visiting Cleveland Browns 12.5 points. Pittsburgh is a 10-point road favorite in Baltimore.

New York won’t have an easy time keeping pace with the rest of the playoff hopefuls. They are three-point home underdogs against the New England Patriots. The Jets lost in New England by seven points earlier this season.

The Jets have a chance to make the playoffs if the Chiefs overtake the Denver Broncos in the AFC West. Denver has a one-game lead over New York, but the Jets own the tiebreaker. The Broncos are 3.5-point home favorites over AJ McCarron and the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16.

After narrowly escaping defeat last week, the Carolina Panthers seem likely to finish the regular season undefeated. Cam Newton has emerged as the clear MVP favorite, and his Panthers are seven-point road favorites in Atlanta. The Falcons just snapped a six-game losing streak, and they are still alive in the playoff hunt, though they are longshots to make the postseason.

With Andrew Luck and Marcus Mariota battling injuries, there is no betting line for Indianapolis vs. Miami or Houston vs. Tennessee as of Tuesday morning. A loss for the Colts and a win for the Texans would clinch the AFC South title for Houston.

The contest between the Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints features the biggest over/under in Week 16. The over/under of 40.5 on Monday night in the game between Denver and Cincinnati is the smallest on the schedule.
