Noah Cyrus, the sister of “Wrecking Ball” singer Miley Cyrus, was the victim of an Internet hoax Friday. The teenager took to Twitter to set the record straight after someone claimed that she slammed “Anaconda” rapper Nicki Minaj.

“I never said this and whoever is pretending to be me needs to stop. Idk what they are using to write it but STOP,” she wrote Friday. The teen shared a picture of the phony statement, which claimed that she said Minaj “has no chill.”

The fake diss also read: “Stop trying to shade people because you’re too ignorant to see that your video sucked. That has nothing to do with race or black culture… get over yourself and move on. This is a VMA not a Grammy.”

Noah wrote those type of words were not in her character. “Let me also add to my last tweet I would never feel the need to say something like that. Whoever is pretending to be me clearly has no life,” she said.

While she was dismantling rumors, Noah, 15, also pointed out she does not have a Facebook account. “Also. Whoever thinks I have a Facebook and whoever thinks they r friends with me on Facebook.... that’s a big no no,” she wrote.

Noah then shared the information for all her social media accounts. Aside from Twitter, she is also active on Instagram, Tumblr and Vine.

Noah’s sister, who will host the 2015 VMAs Sunday, started an apparent feud with Minaj after she said that she didn’t have any “respect” for the rapper’s “angry” reaction for Anaconda, which was one of the most popular videos of 2014, not being nominated for Video of the Year. She also said Minaj was “not too kind.”

Aside from favoriting a tweet that slammed Cyrus’ comments, Minaj did not respond to the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s comments Thursday.

To see if anything between Minaj and Cyrus happens on stage, don’t miss the 2015 VMAs on MTV Sunday at 8 p.m. EDT.
