Nightwing will join the Caped Crusader in the digital streets of Batman: Arkham City, in new downloadable content released Nov. 2.

Nightwing is the older version of Batman's first sidekick, Dick Grayson, when he tired of being Robin and went solo. The Nightwing Bundle Pack comes with two new challenge maps, Wayne Manor and Main Hall, as well as the new character. A bonus skin from Batman: The Animated Series is also included for Nightwing. The bundle will cost 560 Microsoft Points through Xbox Live or around $9 on the PlayStation Network.

The young Mr. Grayson will only be playable in the challenge maps, however. Challenge maps send waves of enemies for players to fight and give them bonus points for pulling off certain moves and defeating enemies one after another. After the main story is finished the mode offers players a huge amount of replayability as they try to perfect their scores and combos. He comes with his own skill set, different gadgets and special moves a part from Batman.

Batman: Arkham City released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Oct 18. The new DLC comes only half a month after the release of the game, which may have a few gamers upset that the content wasn't released on disc. But those gamers will have to vote with their wallets and abstain from buying the content, or flame this article.

Either way another similar DLC featuring Tim Drake as Robin is scheduled to come out Nov. 22. The Robin Bundle will be free to those who pre-ordered the game through Best Buy, and will cost the same as the Nightwing pack for anyone who didn't. The PC version of the game is also due for release Nov. 18.

Batman: Arkham City is the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, this time Batman is trapped in a cordoned off section of Gotham where he must survive against many of his old foes including the Joker, Two-Face, and Professor Hugo Strange.
