Nikon on Tuesday introduced new lines of Coolpix point-and-shoot mini cameras with stunning functionalities such as built in projector, touch screen capabilities and is equipped with OLED technology.

The Japanese electronics maker unveiled four new compact cameras featuring 12.1 megapixels, a 2.7 LED screen display with 5x optical zoom in 28mm wide range lens.

However, its news S1000pj model features the world’s first camera with a built-in projector that can project images and video of up to 40 inches wide at a 640x480 resolution at 30 fps. It will be available in September for $429.95.

These latest Nikon COOLPIX digital cameras reflect hallmarks of the COOLPIX line: performance, design and innovation, the company said. With new features such as a built-in projector and new touch controls for viewing, shooting and zooming, these COOLPIX cameras will appeal to users of every level.

It also bundles software that enables slideshows, with transition effects and it has audio capability to play music, packed with a wireless remote and projector stand and screen.

The S70 model has 3.5 inch OLED capacitive touch screen capabilities, captures HD video of 1280x720 resolutions at 30fps, and will go on sale for $399.95.

Among others, Nikon Coolpix S640 features dSLR-like performance, with start-up time of 0.7 second and short shutter release will start shipping in September for $249.95 and Nikon’s S570 at $199.95
