Owners of the longest winning streak in the country, the Ohio State Buckeyes march for a No. 1 ranking on Saturday afternoon versus Buffalo at Ohio Stadium.

In their first year under head coach Urban Meyer the Buckeyes didn’t let a one-year bowl ban spoil their season and posted a 12-0 record, maintaining their status as one of the formidable powers in the Big-Ten and the nation.

Heisman Trophy candidate quarterback Braxton Miller will begin his junior season after posting a combined 3,310 yards 28 touchdowns for a 140.5 rating last year. Behind Miller is a solid mix of upperclassman at the skill positions.

Senior running back Carlos Hyde can build off a 970-yard and 16-touchdown performance last year. The same goes for the leading receivers, senior Philly Brown and junior Devin Smith, who combined for 1,287 yards and nine scores.

Ohio State linebacker Ryan Shazier can pick up where he left off last season, with totals of 115 tackles and five sacks. Defensive backs C.J. Barnett and Bradley Roby will try to fill the void left by Travis Howard’s departure to the NFL.

Buffalo senior linebacker Khalil Mack will look to contain what appears to be a balanced and powerful Buckeyes offense. Considered a top NFL draft choice in 2014, Mack led the team with 94 total tackles and eight sacks last season.

Despite being 36-point underdogs, a slew of talented pass rushers and tacklers join Mack. Junior linebacker Lee Skinner had 89 tackles and five sack last year, and senior tackle Colby Way forced his way to seven sacks.

Rush-heavy Buffalo is led by fifth-year senior running back Branden Oliver, who totaled 821 yards last season despite missing five games.

The game starts at 12 p.m. ET and a live online stream is available at Watch ESPN here.
