Mobile phone maker Nokia warned its phone business would post losses in the first and the second quarter as tough competition hurts it at a time of product revamp, sending its shares sharply lower.

Shares in Nokia were 10.9 percent lower at 8:09 a.m. EDT (1209 GMT).
