With just nine days left for Christmas, the Norwegian royals posed for family pictures. The palace released a series of pictures in celebration of the holidays. The entire family has come together for the special pictures. Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit posed with their three children, and Haakon’s parents, King Harald and Queen Sonja Monday.
The family stands in front of the Christmas tree. Sonja is all prepped for the festivities and wears a red dress which features high neck and long sleeves. She has accessorized with a thick black belt with the below-the-knee dress. Her husband compliments in navy suit and trousers aired with white shirt, blue tie and shoes.
The Norwegian queen wears matching heels. She completes her look with bangles and choker. Mette-Marit wears blue skirt and matching long-sleeve T-shirt. The 42-year-old crown princess pairs her outfit with navy stockings and black high heels.
Prince Haakon looks dapper in black suit and trousers combo, which he pairs with a crisp white shirt and purple tie. Marius Borg Hoiby, Mette Marit’s son from her previous relationship in navy suit and trousers combo, paired with white shirt and black lace-up shoes. They are joined by Ingrid and her younger brother Sverre.
The 11-year-old Ingrid wears a plaid tunic paired with a white top. Stockings and black shoes complete her look. Her little brother looks handsome in navy suit and trousers paired with a pale blue shirt and black shoes. The picture shows huge book cases full of books in the background.
In the second picture, the family sits on a plush velvet sofa. Sonja, Mette-Marit and her two younger kids sit on the couch while Harald, Hakoon and their older son stand behind. The third picture shows the two younger siblings decorating the tree together. They are seen placing trinkets on the branches, which have been decked out in white roses and small Norwegian flags.
The photo session took place at Skaugum, the official residence of the Crown Prince and Crown Princess in Asker, Norway. Royal watchers will no doubt relish the chance to have a sneak peek inside the royal living room, which is lined with bookcases and includes a number of family photographs arranged on the tables.
