President Barack Obama told reporters today during a press conference that he has fallen off the wagon sometimes when trying to quit the habit of smoking but never smokes in the presence of his kids or in front of his family, he said according to the Associated Press.

I'm 95 percent cured. There are times where I mess up, said the U.S. President a day after he signed into law legislation to regulate tobacco, the LA Times noted today.

The President said he doesn't smoke on a daily basis and added that the important issue is the tobacco legislation he signed yesterday which regulates ingredients in tobacco such as tar and nicotine and limits advertising aimed at young people, among other things.

Obama said, like alcoholics, smoking is something that you continually struggle with, according to the Associated Press.
