O.J. Simpson Taxes: Former Athlete Currently In Jail Owes IRS Over $500,000

Despite being behind bars, Uncle Sam is still requiring O.J. Simpson to pay the over $500,000 in tax debt that he owes.

The former football star received his third tax lien in 12 months in late 2012, being the amount he owes the government to over $500,000.

The former football star that is famously known for being acquitted of the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her partner, Ron Goldman received a third tax lien in December 2012 for failing to pay $17,015.99 in taxes in 2011, TMZ reports.

According to the gossip website, the lien is Simpson’s third in the last 12 months.

In addition, he owes $179,435.07 for unpaid federal taxes between 2007 and 2010 as well as $318,566.04 in taxes to the state of California for the year 2000.

The former Pioneer Chicken and Honeybaked Ham spokesperson owes a whopping $515,017.10 in total.

Currently in prison in Las Vegas following a 2008 conviction for multiple felonies including armed robbery and kidnapping, MSN Now suggests that the government will have to wait in line in order to receive the money it is owed.

Simpson apparently still owes the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman millions of dollars after losing the law suit in conjunction with their murders.
