‘The Originals’ Season 3 Spoilers: Premiere Sneak-Peek Video Teases Drama Between Vampires And Witches

Things are going to get pretty intense in New Orleans when “The Originals” returns with its Season 3 premiere on Thursday, Oct. 8 – specifically between the city’s witches and the blood-sucking vamps. But what exactly will spark a feud between these long-lasting rivals?

Well, according to the synopsis for episode 1, titled “For the Next Millennium,” it was revealed that the series most beloved duo, Davina (Danielle Campbell) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), will be at fault for the newest quarrel.

“Marcel, who has regained control of the French Quarter once again, tries a new strategy to recruit vampires,” the summary reveals. “Meanwhile, Davina, who is now Regent to the New Orleans witches, makes a decision that will find her and Marcel on opposite sides of an escalating conflict.”

Fans of the hit CW series can catch a glimpse of the impending dispute, which begins with Marcel asking his magical friend for a favor – a large favor, before the season premiere.

“Just hear me out,” Marcel says in a sneak-peek video after relaying his plan, only to have Davina shoot down his proposal.

“Witches don’t do favors for vampires, including daylight rings. Those are the rules,” she rebuttals.

Marcel insists that “an act of good faith” will keep the peace between the two supernatural groups. Davina explains that the coven already thinks she’s a “vampire sympathizer” and she doesn’t want to prove them right, which is why she tells her buddy that he’s on his own.

And we have to admit, we can’t blame Davina for denying Marcel’s request. After all, it was vampires who sabotaged her plan of reprising Kol (Daniel Sharman) from the dead. In the Season 2 finale, Davina was given the gift of her ancestor’s magic that would grant her a one-time-only access pass into their powers (which she decided to use on reviving her beau). But Davina’s plan fell through when Elijah (Daniel Gillies) swapped out Kol’s ashes for Esther’s, ruining Davina’s chance of reuniting with her man.

Fans will get to see Davina and Marcel go head-to-head when “The Originals” returns with its Season 3 premiere on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
