There were several big winners at the 2013 Oscars Sunday. "Argo" won for Best Picture and Ang Lee won for Best Directing for “Life if Pi,” while Jennifer Lawrence won for Best Actress for “Silver Linings Playbook” and Daniel Day-Lewis won for Best Actor for “Lincoln”. Many of the evening's winners gave evocative and memorable speeches; from falls to kilts, the Academy Awards featured the year’s best of the best.

Best Picture: "Argo"

Director Ben Affleck spoke incredibly fast and choked up while thanking his family in his acceptance speech.

Best Directing: Ang Lee

Lee thanked "Movie God" in the beginning of his acceptance speech.

Adapted Screenplay Chris Terrio for "Argo"

This was Terrio's first Academy Award and nomination.

Original Screenplay Quentin Tarantino for "Django Unchained"

Tarantino mentioned that he is neighbors with Charlize Theron, who presented him with the Best Original Screenplay award.

Actress Jennifer Lawrence

Lawrence tripped on her dress and fell as she approached the stage to accept her award.

Best Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis
Lewis joked that he was originally supposed to play Margaret Thatcher in "The Irony Lady," while his award presenter, Meryl Streep, was to play Lincoln.

Supporting Actor Christoph Waltz

Waltz notably won the same award for his role in "Inglorious Basterds" in 2010.

Supporting Actress Anne Hathaway

This is Hathaway's first Academy Award.

Animated Feature Film "Brave"

The film's writer, Mark Andrews wore a kilt to the Oscars, which he claims was not intentional.
