The Marine Corps. has identified the two Marines killed in the crash of an MV-22 Osprey in Morocco on Wednesday, as Cpls. Robby Reyes and Derek Kerns.

The Osprey crashed in a training area located southwest of Agadir, Morocco. It crashed after takeoff from the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima.

Reyes, who joined the Marines in 2007, was from Los Angeles. Kern, who joined the Marines a year later, was from Fort Dix, N.J., the Associated Press reported.

The names of the two Marines injured will not be provided, the military told the media.

More than 1,000 U.S. military personnel are participating on the 10-day exercise to end April 17.
