KEY POINTS

  • People Can Fly has started rolling out their inventory restoration plans for affected “Outriders” players
  • Players in Group A will take priority over the rest
  • Players in Group C will still be affected by the restoration

People Can Fly and Square Enix have both been trying hard to fix the many bugs and improve the overall quality of “Outriders,” which many consider to be an excellent looter-shooter that’s plagued with problematic technical issues.

The infamous inventory wipe bug has been fixed for the most part, with one of the latest patches significantly reducing the chances that the bug will happen to players. Now, People Can Fly is turning its sights toward restoring the inventories of the “Outriders” players who were affected by this bug, but some people will have priority over the others, according to a statement from the developers.

People Can Fly will be rolling out the restoration to three different categories of players based on how badly they were affected by the bug. These groups are simply named Group A, B and C.

Group A contains players whose inventories were wiped by the bug and also had access to their game inexplicably restricted. Players who have been stuck on the log-in screen after getting their inventories wiped fall under this category, and they will be prioritized for the first major wave of restorations.

Group B contains all of the players who had their inventories wiped but were still able to play the game. Those who have moved on to different characters may soon be able to play their mains again once the restoration is complete, but it might take some time before all of their first characters’ loot are returned.

Group C is simply a control group, which contains the rest of the lucky members of the playerbase who survived the game’s buggy release state. However, players in this group may still receive up to 20 items that were previously lost or sold. This is due to the developer’s inability to distinguish players in Group B from Group C.

The developers are also reminding “Outriders” players that the inventory restoration will not be 100% accurate in terms of item mods and stat combinations, and not every piece of gear will be restored to player inventories. All Legendary weapons will be returned, but only the 20 items of Epic rarity and below will be restored.
