At least two officers were killed when a military helicopter crashed in eastern Pakistan on Wednesday, reports Reuters quoting military officials.

Four military officials, including Major-General Mohammad Nawaz, director general of the Punjab Rangers, were on board the helicopter. The helicopter crashed into Indus River in eastern Pakistan, said the report.

Two bodies have been recovered but they have not been identified yet, a military official said.

The helicopter was flying in bad weather, explained another official adding that an investigation into the cause of the crash will be ordered.
