Palm, Inc. (NASDAQ: PALM) announced Friday it is introducing the Palm Treo 750 smartphone in Australia.

The company said that the device will use the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. The phone will use the 'Next G' network of Australian mobile operator Telstra, which is enabled with High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) data capability

The Treo 750, combined with Telstra's extensive Next G mobile network and various email solutions, will be an invaluable business tool for Telstra's enterprise customers and further expand the Treo footprint in Australia, said John Hartnett, senior vice president, global markets, Palm, Inc.

The Treo 750 was first introduced in Europe, and more recently, the United States.

The Palm Treo 750v is powered by a 300MHz Samsung processor and has 128MB nonvolatile flash memory. It also has integrated Bluetooth 1.2 short-range wireless technology and a 1.3 megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom.
