The Terminator said he would "be back." And thanks to Paramount Pictures, he'll be able to keep his word.

Paramount announced the production of a new "Terminator" trilogy based off the cyborg killer originally played by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The film is set to be released in June 2015.

The studio hasn't confirmed who will play the role of the Terminator, but Schwarzenegger has been rumored to be reprising his role.

"I'm very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star AS the Terminator, which we start shooting in January," Schwarzenegger said during an interview at the 21st Century Financial Education Summit.

The actor -- and former politician -- starred in the the first three Terminator movies. The films earned a total of more than $1 billion worldwide.

Schwarzenegger made an appearance in the fourth movie as well, 2009's "Terminator Salvation." But it was only a CGI image.

The screen play will be developed by Laeta Kalorgridis of "Avatar" and Patrick Lussier of "Drive Angry." No director for the film has been announced.
