“Peaky Blinders” lovers rejoice – filming for Season 3 has reportedly begun! U.S. fans of the BBC Two series have been in a draught since the first two seasons of the historical gangster drama dropped on Netflix in November. With the third season of the series set to premiere in the UK this fall, reports on social media claim that the cast and crew is back to work.

According to Twitter user @Matt_Cassidy147, “Peaky Blinders” has been filming on Dale Street in Liverpool – a location they’ve used in past seasons. Big Issue reported last year that a former 1980s disco club on Dale Street was transformed into villain Darby Sabini’s (Noah Taylor) London Eden Club in Season 2.

Unfortunately only one photo from the set has allegedly surfaced on social media. The picture making the rounds is of Tom Hardy, who joined the cast in Season 2 as Alfie Solomons. Alfie is a Jewish gang leader who initially struck a deal with Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy), the head of the Peaky Blinders. However he ultimately ended up double crossing the Birmingham gang by the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the Liverpool Echo reports that Hardy and his wife, fellow “Peaky Blinders” star Charlotte Riley, were also filming at Exchange Flags in Liverpool. Does that mean that Tommy will pursue a relationship with Riley’s character, May Carleton? Like her husband, Riley joined the cast of the BBC Two drama in Season 2. Her character immediately caught the eye of Tommy Shelby, and the pair bonded over their love of horses. Their relationship went from professional to romantic partway through the season, however Tommy was put in a difficult position when the woman who holds his heart, Grace Burgess (Annabelle Wallis), revealed that she was pregnant with his baby and willing to leave her husband. The season ended with May threatening to withhold her horse gambling connections that Tommy desperately needed to expand his family’s empire.
