We’ve got good news and bad news for fans of “Peaky Blinders.” The good news is that we’re now closer than ever to Season 3. BBC Two announced Thursday that new episodes featuring the Shelby brothers will premiere in May. The bad news is that fans in the U.S. still have no idea when they’ll be able to watch the series on Netflix.

Starring Cillian Murphy and Annabelle Wallis, “Peaky Blinders” is about a gang bent on obtaining money and power and money in England’s Birmingham in the 1920s. The series premiered in the U.K. in 2013, and made its way stateside the following year when Netflix obtained the rights to both Season 1 and Season 2. Customers of the streaming service quickly binge-watched both six-episode seasons, and have been waiting since then for word on when the story of Thomas Shelby (Murphy) and his crime family will continue.

Despite no Netflix release date, American fans can whet their appetites with a teaser trailer featuring a cut-up Tommy. When viewers last left him, he had narrowly avoided getting killed. However, he remained in a sticky situation. His former lover, Grace (Wallis), revealed she was pregnant with his child. Although still harboring feelings for her, he is mindful that his new fling, May (Charlotte Riley), has the power to grant gambling licenses to Tommy’s bookies. Thus, he must decide between love and business.

The teaser trailer doesn’t reveal any details about what’s to come, but it’s been previously announced that Season 3 will plunge Tommy into “international” danger. A brief synopsis explains the gangster will put his “entire organization and family at risk” while questioning his own “ambitions and desires.”

Although U.S. fans have to hold tight for a Season 3 premiere date, those in the U.K. have an opportunity to watch the premiere and meet the cast. BBC Two announced in a press release that an exclusive screening of the first episode will take place at the Everyman Cinema Mailbox Birmingham location Wednesday, May 4. Fans are encouraged to dress in “Peaky Blinders” costumes, while series stars Murphy, Paul Anderson and Packy Lee, as well as creator Steven Knight, will be walking the red carpet.
