'Phil Of The Future' Star Aly Michalka Wears Lavender Wedding Gown For Marriage To Stephen Ringer

Former Disney star Aly Michalka recently married her film producer fiancé Stephen Ringer in a romantic ceremony in Italy. The wedding was held at the Belmond Hotel Splendido in the village of Portofino. The bride didn’t follow the tradition of wearing a white gown, instead opting for lavender. She looked gorgeous as she added a splash of color to her bridal look.

The “Phil of the Future” star matched the beaded, embellished gown with a dainty double-strand headband and completed her outfit with a cascading veil. She carried a purple flower bouquet to complement her dress choice. The actress had one flower girl who matched her outfit in lavender, while her best friend Raymond Braun acted as a bridesmaid. Her younger sister, A.J. Michalka was the maid of honor.

With the Italian sun shining down, Aly and Stephen said “I do” under an outdoor canopy that was adorned with purple flowers and leaves. The intimate ceremony consisted of several friends and family members. After the ceremony the newlyweds had a photoshoot overlooking the port, before dining alfresco and cutting their cake by the hotel swimming pool, according to Hello.

Aly and Stephen’s close friends and family posted pics of the couple on their big day. They were all asked to share pictures with the hashtag #PutARingOnIt. The beautiful pictures show Aly walking down the aisle, ready to say her “I do,” as well pictures of her cutting the cake with Stephen later on. Aly was also surrounded by her best friend, who shared a pic of the bride walking down the aisle, saying “Congratulations to one of my dearest friends and the most beautiful bride. Today was a fairytale.” In one short video clip Aly, 26, was seen blowing a kiss to her friend before she walked down the flower-strewn aisle to meet her future husband.

A.J. had thrown Aly a bachelorette party in May with a few of her close gal pals. Aly and Stephen, 30, met in 2012 on the set of “Sequoia,” the film in which the brunette played the lead role and Stephen was in charge of cinematography. The couple got engaged in Big Sur, California, last July. Her engagement ring is also unique -- a square-cut diamond surrounded by a vintage-inspired filigree setting. It went well with her unconventional wedding dress choice.
