The mother of a baby who was thrown from an upper floor of a parking garage in Orange, California has been arrested.
Sonia Hermosillo, 31, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder Tuesday morning and accused by police of purposely throwing her 7-month-old son off of a parking garage at the Children's Hospital of Orange County, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The Orange fire department said it received a call Monday evening at 6:19 p.m. from a witness who saw the baby fall.
Police locked down the garage Monday evening and found Hermosillo's car, the LA Times reported.
There was a child seat in the vehicle, but no baby, police said in a press release, the LA Times reported.
The baby was taken to the UC Irvine Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
