Porn performer Rod Daily has confirmed on Twitter that he's tested positive for HIV, making him the second adult film actor to announce a positive test for the virus that causes AIDS in the last two weeks -- after his girlfriend and porn actress Cameron Bay also tested positive.

“Drumroll please!! I'm 32 years old and I'm HIV positive. Acute HIV, which means I recently was infected. For that I am blessed,” Daily wrote on his Twitter account Tuesday. “I'm blessed for the fact that I caught it so early that I can blast that s**t with meds.”

The highly sensitive tests used in the porn industry will catch HIV infection earlier than standard tests, improving the effectiveness of treatment.

Daily, whose real name is Joshua Rodgers, said doctors told him that the tests showed he was infected within the last month. He said another HIV test taken a week after the positive result showed he didn’t have the virus that causes AIDS. It was revealed two weeks ago that Daily’s girlfriend, Cameron Bay, had also tested positive for HIV, prompting a shutdown in the porn industry hub in the San Fernando Valley of California. While Bay publicly announced the positive result two weeks ago, she said the test came back positive July 27.

The 32-year-old porn actor said he was optimistic about overcoming his diagnosis, using NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson, who has been HIV-positive for more than 20 years, as an example.

“I'm blessed for the fact that I caught it so early that I can blast that s**t with meds,” Daily tweeted. “I have never backed down from a fight and I'm owning my s**t- right here like I have always owned my s**t in life.”

The porn star, who has been featured in gay and transsexual videos as well as heterosexual ones, performing with both men and women, was encouraged by fans who gave encouraging words to him.

“Thank you everyone for all the support. It lifts me higher,” he tweeted.

Among those lending him support was Bay, who learned she tested positive for HIV two weeks ago. She urged everyone to engage in safe sex.

Daily “has [a] handle bar mustache to help him handle the Rocky road ahead but wants to remind everyone #saftey1st when riding bikes always wear a helmet!!” she tweeted.

After Bay’s HIV-positive result, there was fear that Sydney Elaine Leathers, Anthony Weiner’s sexting partner-turned-porn star, might have also been infected.

Leathers, a 23-year-old Indiana native who engaged in sexually explicit online chats with Weiner that led to the New York City mayoral hopeful’s second sexting scandal, starred in the porn movie “Anthony and Me,” with Xander Corvus, who portrayed Weiner. Corvus did not wear a condom in the video.

Corvus was the last actor to film a sex scene with Bay, although both Corvus and Leathers came out to say they tested negative for HIV.

Bay said she was shocked at the time of her diagnosis.

"When I got the call, I was obviously extremely distraught and in disbelief because there's no way that it's possible in my eyes," Bay told Adult Video News. "I don't sleep around, I don't do anything crazy, and I keep track of the people that I've worked with."
