The top after-market NASDAQ stock market gainers are: Nordson, Oclaro, MIND C.T.I., Star Bulk Carriers, and CDC. The top after-market NASDAQ stock market losers are: Huron Consulting Group, Subaye, Chart Industries, Ixia, and Fuwei Films.

Gainers

Nordson Corp. (NDSN) stock jumped 13.99 percent to $110 in the after-market trading, as it guided second quarter earnings and revenue above Street view. The company expects second quarter earnings of $1.70 to $1.82 a share and revenue of $308 million to $318 million, while Street predicts profit of $1.25 a share on revenue of $280.51 million.

Nordson posted first quarter profit of $45.90 million or $1.33 a share, up from $26.73 million or $0.78 a share last year. The latest quarter earnings included short-term inventory purchase accounting adjustments of $0.01 a share related to the company's acquisition of Micromedics Inc., and discrete tax items of $0.04 a share. Adjusted earnings rose to $1.30 a share from $0.70 a share. Sales grew 23 percent to $270.96 million. Analysts had expected profit of $1.10 a share on revenue of $260.65 million.

Shares of Oclaro, Inc. (OCLR) climbed 6.64 percent to $16.21 in the after-hours trading.

MIND C.T.I., Ltd. (MNDO) stock gained 5.42 percent to $3.50 in the after-market session.

Shares of Star Bulk Carriers Corp. (SBLK) increased 4.49 percent to $2.56 in the after-hours session. Adjusted earnings for the third quarter were $23.8 million or $0.38 a share, compared to a loss of $4.2 million or $0.07 a share last year. Revenue rose to $31.89 million from $31.23 million. Analysts had expected profit of $0.03 a share on revenue of $28.30 million. The company declared a cash dividend of $0.05 a common share, payable on or about March 10, to shareholders of record as of March 4.

CDC Corp. (CHINA) stock rose 4.30 percent to $3.15 in the after-market trading.

Losers

Shares of Huron Consulting Group Inc. (HURN) plunged 13.22 percent to $25 in the after-hours trading. The company said David Shade, President and Chief Operating Officer, will retire from the company as of June 30 and has resigned his positions of President and Chief Operating Officer effective March 31. The company said its current Chief Executive Officer James Roth will assume the role of President in addition to his current responsibilities effective March 31.

The company's Chief Financial Officer James Rojas has been appointed by the Board of Directors as Chief Operating Officer effective March 31. Rojas will continue to have responsibility for the Chief Financial Officer position until the company identifies a permanent replacement.

Huron said Natalia Delgado, Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, will resign from her role as Vice President and General Counsel and will assume the role of Senior Counsel to the Board of Directors effective February 22. She also will remain as Corporate Secretary. Diane Ratekin, currently the company's Deputy General Counsel, will succeed Delgado as Vice President and General Counsel effective February 22.

Subaye, Inc. (SBAY) stock lost 11.59 percent to $7.25 in the after-market session. The company said it will require additional time to complete its quarterly financial results and file its Form 10-Q with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The quarterly results were due to be filed with the SEC by February 22. Subaye has informed the NASDAQ OMX Group that it will require additional time to complete the quarterly results and file the Form 10-Q with the SEC.

Shares of Chart Industries Inc. (GTLS) slid 4.65 percent to $37.50 in the after-hours session.

Ixia (XXIA) stock declined 4.48 percent to $17.04 in the after-market trading.

Shares of Fuwei Films (Holdings) Co., Ltd. (FFHL) decreased 4.15 percent to $6 in the after-hours trading.
