Akamai Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:AKAM) stock rallied 19.12 percent to $42.99 in pre-market trading. Its first quarter adjusted net profit surged to $93.23 million or $0.51 per share from $65.30 million or $0.36 per share in the same period last year and topped Reuters' estimate of $0.46 per share. Quarterly revenues surged 15 percent to $368.05 million compared to $319.45 million last year.

Fusion-IO Inc. (NYSE:FIO) stock rallied 11.55 percent to $18.55 in pre-market trading. The company reported third quarter adjusted net loss of $3.17 million or $0.03 per share compared to an adjusted profit of $6.92 million or $0.06 per share in the same period last year but came in better than Reuters' forecast for a loss of $0.07 per share. Fusion-IO also said it currently expects fourth quarter revenues to be about $110 million and fiscal 2013 revenue to be about $435 million, above analysts’ estimate of $107.34 million for the fourth quarter and $426.43 million for the fiscal year.

NII Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:NIHD) stock surged 9.31 percent to $8.92 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $4.11, a 52-week high of $19.59 and $1.40 billion in market capitalization.

Research In Motion Ltd. (NASDAQ:BBRY) stock gained 1.28 percent to $15.09 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $6.22, a 52-week high of $18.32 and $7.81 billion in market capitalization.

Newmont Mining Corp. (NYSE:NEM) stock advanced 1.22 percent to $34.75 in pre-market trading. The company announced on Wednesday that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.35 per share of common stock, payable on June 27 to holders of record at the close of business as of June 12, 2013.

Carnival Corp. (NYSE:CCL) stock gained 1.11 percent to $33.69 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $30.65, a 52-week high of $39.95 and $26.91 billion in market capitalization.

Losers

Zynga Inc. (NASDAQ:ZNGA) stock tumbled 8.93 percent to $3.05 in pre-market trading as its second quarter earnings forecast fell short of estimates. Currently, the company expects second quarter adjusted net loss to be in a range of $0.04 to $0.03 per share on revenues of $225 million to $235 million while analysts estimate the company to post a second quarter net loss of $0.01 per share on revenues of $236.12 million.

Mellanox Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX) stock slumped 8.77 percent to $56.41 in pre-market trading. Its first quarter adjusted net profit plunged to $4.3 million or $0.10 per share from $22.0 million or $0.51 per share in the same period last year.

Banco Santander S.A. (NYSE:SAN) stock plunged 3.14 percent to $7.10 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $4.88, a 52-week high of $8.86 and $75.65 billion in market capitalization.
