Pregnant Kailyn Lowry Talks About Being ‘Best Friends’ With Baby Daddy

“Teen Mom 2” star Kailyn Lowry might not have a good relationship with her ex-husband Javi Marroquin, but things are great between her and ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera. In fact, she is “best friends” with Rivera, who is the father of her oldest son, 7-year-old Isaac.

“Jo and I hated each others' guts...we were not good friends [and] we barely co-parented,” Lowry, who is pregnant with her third child, told MTV News Monday. She and Rivera got into bitter battles over their son on early season of the hit reality show.

While things between them weren’t as tense once she married Marroquin, she became closer with Rivera once her marriage ended in divorce. But it’s not because there is anything romantic between them. Rivera now shares 17-month-old daughter Vivi with girlfriend Vee Torres.

“All of a sudden, it was a complete 180,” Lowry said. “Now we're best friends — I can tell him anything. I can call him, and we can switch weekends easily or if I need him to grab Isaac from school. We are so good now.”

Lowry announced her pregnancy last month, but she did not name the father of her baby. With Rivera and Marroquin out of the picture as potential fathers, fans started to point fingers at Lowry’s friend, Chris Lopez.

The MTV reality star seemingly named him during a live Instagram video Tuesday when a user suggested she name her third child Holden. Lowry joked: “Chris would say, ‘I’m Holden the baby!'”

She clarified in the video that she meant to say, “Kristen,” but the ended the live session. “So the dad is Chris,” one user commented. “She said it was Chris, I’m pretty positive!” another added.

Lowry, 24, announced her pregnancy in a Feb. 23 Instagram post. She added details in a blog post.

“I am pregnant. I’m sad that I should have known that people in my life would sell me out before I was ready,” she wrote. “Like any normal person, I want it to be a happy time. I wanted this to be a private time so I could be excited while not getting chased by paparazzi and bothered with crazy headlines. Please know this was a choice I made, I already know some won’t agree but I’ve been showered with support by the ones I love since I found out.”
