Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may already be looking for a permanent residence.

The "Suits" star and her beau are reportedly prepping for married life, and they started by looking for a place they can call home. In fact, royal sources told Daily Mail that the lovers are "house-hunting" a high-end estate in the rolling Cotswolds Hills.

A close friend of Prince Harry confessed that the duke "has a long-standing affection for the area." In addition, his girlfriend was apparently "entranced by its rustic charm," which prompted the couple to look for a home in the area.

"He is searching for a new home in the area," Prince Harry's friend revealed. "Before Meghan, he was vaguely looking in Norfolk but didn't find what he wanted. Now, with her input, he's renewed his search."

According to the UK publication, the lush green countryside has attracted London-dwellers who wanted a rural bolthole. It's just an hour away from the capital, making it a great weekend retreat. The place is home to A-list politicians and media executives like the Camerons, Beckhams, Kate Moss, Lily Allen and Stella McCartney.

Prince Harry, for his part, is not opting to settle down in the area because of any specific political or media connection. He has spent majority of his life in Cotswolds because Prince Charles and Princess Diana had a 150-acre property in Highgrove where they used to spend their weekends.

"It's not surprising that Harry would like to live where he feels at home," a local told the publication. "He's lived in the Cotswolds all his life and often returns to visit his father. After his mother died, it became a place of sanctuary. When the boys entered their teens, Charles bought several homes in the area, thinking they might want one in the future."

In related news, sources close to the royal family believe that Markle and Prince Harry's wedding will not be as grand as Prince William and Kate Middleton. The experts said that the pair will likely have a low-key ceremony because the "Horrible Bosses" star is a divorcee. Initially, British royalty are prohibited from marrying a divorced person, but this has changed over time.

Markle and Prince Harry are expected to spend Halloween together. The latter will be visiting Chicago on Oct. 31, and it is believed that he will head back to Toronto for his girlfriend.
