Princess Madeleine of Sweden and her husband Chris O’Neill joined celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and British singer Adele on a Norwegian-Swedish talk show to be telecast on Dec.11. The 33-year-old seemed to be enjoying being back in limelight after the birth of her son Prince Nicolas in June. The Swedish royal and her banker husband flew down from London to appear on the show which is their first ever joint television interview.

Madeleine and Chris appeared on the talk show “Skavlan” hosted by Norwegian journalist Fredrik Skavlan. The couple joined Chef Oliver and Adele to wish viewers Merry Christmas in Swedish. The talk show posed a short video clip of the foursome learning how to say merry Christmas in Swedish for an episode which will air on Dec.11.

The funny clip shows Oliver messing up his pronunciation, while Madeleine and Chris tell him how to do it right. “It's next to the princess, I've got to get it right,” says the 40-year-old British chef in the fun video. However, Adele does a great job of nailing the Christmas wishes in the language.

“Thank you very much, Adele,” the impressed host Federick said to the singer. The four icons and the host then tried to do the Christmas wishes in Norwegian and got it spot on.

Meanwhile, Madeleine who gave birth to her son with Chris has been on a maternity break since Nicolas’s birth in June. The Swedish princess is currently busy spending time with her daughter Princess Leonore and her baby son in London. The family shifted to the city in September due to Chris’ work commitments.

Madeleine recently took a break from her mommy duty and attended an official engagement in Stockholm. She attended the Global Child Forum along with her parents King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, and her sister-in-law Princess Sofia at the Royal Palace of Sweden.

Meanwhile, Madeleine is now mourning the death of her pet pooch Zorro, Swedish publication Aftonbladet reports. A royal court spokeswoman declined to elaborate further on the pet’s death. Zorro was a gift from her former fiancé Jonas Bergström in 2006. She and her husband both shared a close bond with the pet, Hello reported.

The interview will be broadcast on “Skavlan” Dec.11 at 9 p.m. on SVT.
