Former hip-hop producer Scott Storch has even less ice to brag about after being robbed of more than $100,000 worth of jewelry early Monday in New York's Times Square.

Two thieves pulled guns on Storch, 39, and his 32-year-old companion around 7 a.m., reports the New York Daily News. Authorities say the robbers directed Storch to give them his jewelry and a briefcase containing $5,000 in cash.

Storch and his crew had just finished a night of recording in Platinum Studios near Times Square, according to New York Magazine. The armed thieves approached the producer's vehicle, took the loot and then drove away in an SUV parked nearby, sources say.

Storch, in New York City for the MTV Video Music Awards, which will be held Aug. 25, shared how relieved he was to be "safe and good" in a couple of Tweets following the incident. He also made it clear that his music will live on, no diamonds necessary.
