‘Project Runway’ Season 13 Cast Announced; Series To Premiere July 24

It’s time to meet the Season 13 “Project Runway” cast! Nineteen fashion-design hopefuls will lay it all out on the runway for a chance at the $100,000 prize and the winning title. Lifetime’s hit reality series returns on Thursday, July 24, and we’ve got the lineup of designers to watch for:

Carrie Sleutskaya, 24 – Hometown: San Diego; resides in Los Angeles

Char Glover, 37 – Hometown: Detroit; resides in Detroit

Emily Payne, 40 – Hometown: Temple, Texas; resides in San Francisco

Emmanuel Tobias, 29 – Hometown: Dallas; resides in Dallas

Only 18 designers for Season 13 are listed, but “Project Runway” will be adding one more cast member: a “Runway Redemption Contest.” The Runway Redemption contest allows fans to vote to bring back a designer from a past season. Using Instagram, fans narrowed it down to three: Ken Laurence of Season 12, Alexander Pope of Season 12 and Amanda Valentine of Season 11. The winner that will be joining Season 13 will be announced during the premiere episode on July 24.

That’s not the only surprise in store for the first episode. The 19 contestants will have one final audition when they arrive … and three designers will be asked to pack up their things and leave even before the first challenge happens.

In typical “Project Runway” fashion, the contestants will have to impress mentor Tim Gunn and judges Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia and Zac Posen. However, elimination can become a toss-up thanks to Tim, who has the power to “save” one designer from being sent home.

Heidi, Nina and Zac will share judging responsibilities with an exciting group of celebrity guest judges, including: “Modern Family” star Julie Bowen, “Mad Men” star Elisabeth Moss, “Pretty Little Liars” star Shay Mitchell, Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, entertainer Dita Von Teese, designer Christian Siriano, British television personality and renowned photographer Amanda de Cadenet, and YouTube celebrity Bethany Mota.

Season 13 of “Project Runway” will premiere on Thursday, July 24, at 9 p.m. EDT.
