What’s white, fluffy and is the newest, cutest thing on the Internet? A sea slug. Truly.

Nicknamed "sea bunnies," the slugs appear to be covered in white fur, with black specs and black ears, and the Internet has fallen in love with them.

The slugs’ official name is Jorunna parva and call the Pacific and Indian oceans home, according to the Weather Channel. Sea slugs are generally found on the ocean floor or on submerged vegetation. Most are less than an inch long, but some near the Great Barrier Reef have been found to be a foot long. Sea slugs can be a variety of colors, but it’s the white slug that caught the Internet’s attention.

While animals taking over the Internet is nothing new -- see Grumpy Cat and Honey Badger, for examples -- the sea bunny isn’t even the first undersea creature to rule the Internet.

Last year, everyone was talking about the octopus that could free himself from a jar in less than a minute. The video showed the extent of octopi intelligence. More recently, a cute pink octopus, Opisthoteuthis adorabilis, stole our hearts.

On the opposite end of the spectrum is the unfortunate blobfish. The deep sea fish was named the world's ugliest animal, which can't be good for its self esteem.

Still, the sea bunnies are adorable. We’ll be counting the days until we can make one our pet.
