Queen Elizabeth reportedly didn’t get to spend much time with her two older children because she was very busy with her royal engagements.

But an unearthed photo proved otherwise. Even though Her Majesty had a very packed schedule when Prince Charles and Princess Anne were still young, she still made sure to bond with her two children whenever possible.

In the throwback snap, the 93-year-old monarch is wearing a beautiful green coat and green pleated skirt. Her hair is kept neat using a clip. The monarch is bending forward and staring at her adorable son Prince Charles.

The heir to the throne is sitting on his toy car that is the exact same color as the Queen’s attire. Prince Charles is wearing a brown cardigan and pants. His blonde hair is also fixed neatly. In the picture, the dad of two seems to be playing with cotton.

Prince Charles didn’t make eye contact with his mom, but the Queen couldn’t help but smile from ear to ear while looking at her eldest child.

In another throwback photo, the Queen couldn’t her happiness while cradling Princess Anne in her arms. The photograph was taken during Princess Anne’s christening decades ago.

The photo also shows Prince Charles sitting beside his mother on the sofa, while Prince Philip is sitting on the armrest beside Her Majesty. The Duke of Edinburgh also has a pleasant look on his face, but Prince Charles doesn’t look very happy in the picture.

When Prince Charles was still young, he didn’t have a close relationship with his parents. In fact, a royal expert said that the heir to the throne grew up under the care of his nannies and the Queen Mother.

The late royal, who passed away in 2002, was the one who molded Prince Charles into how to become a King. But until today, Prince Charles still hasn’t been crowned because the Queen has not yet abdicated.
