Hundreds of thousands of people across the country are set to participate in the Women’s March Saturday, hours after President Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony. The Women's March on Washington is said to be one of the largest demonstrations organized around Trump's inauguration, and it isn’t only taking place in Washington, it’s happening across the country and overseas, too.

The Women's March on Washington started off with two women, Teresa Shook and Bob Bland, who were total strangers but with similar viewpoints. Both women decided to come together and turned their visions into reality. They came up with a strategic plan that would allow women to head to Washington for the inauguration via Facebook, which apparently worked.

Vanessa Wruble, the march's head of campaign operations, became involved in the project, and brought on organizers Tamika D. Mallory, Carmen Perez, and Linda Sarsour to add diversity.

So far, roughly 224,000 activists and protestors have RSVP’d on the event's Facebook page as of Jan. 20. Another 250,000 people are said to be "interested" in attending.
