Rafael Nadal continues to dominate on red clay this season, advancing to the Round of 16 at the Madrid Open on Tuesday with a victory over No. 39 Andrey Kuznetsov. The world No.5 cruised in just 79 minutes, 6-3 6-3.

Nadal, who has now won 11 straight matches, had just nine unforced errors, while hitting 22 winners and four aces against the 25-year-old Russian.

Looking for his third straight tournament victory, Nadal is coming off a championship in Barcelona a little over a week ago. The 29-year-old also defeated Gael Monfils in the finals at Monte Carlo on April 17.

Nadal is the No.2 favorite at Madrid, trailing world No. 1 Novak Djokovic, who has 10/11 odds to win the Masters 1000 tournament.

The King of Clay will face the winner of Wednesday match between No. 37 Sam Querrey and No. 58 Lucas Pouille.
