Kyle Richards, star of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” is speaking out about her sister, Kim Richards, for the first time in several months. Kim, who was fired from the “Real Housewives” franchise in June, has been struggling to maintain her sobriety leading to several recent run-ins with the law. According to an update from Kyle, 46, however, Kim, 52, is leaving all of that in the past.
The “RHOBH” star attended the Global Lyme Alliance inaugural gala in New York City Thursday night where People magazine was able to get a moment of her time. She revealed to the publication that her sister is in a much better place. "She's doing really well -- she's doing really well right now," she said.
Kyle, who declined to share further details about her sister or Season 6 of “RHOBH,” was joined in New York City by her co-stars Yolanda Foster, Kathryn Edwards and Erika Jayne. The mother of four uploaded a photo of the trio jetting to the East Coast via private plane Thursday. What she did not mention was that Yolanda, 51, was being honored at the gala. The “RHOBH” star and former supermodel has been suffering from Lyme disease since 2012. Although she continues to travel the world in search of new holistic treatments she revealed in January that she no longer has the ability to read or write. Even with all of this, Yolanda was all smiles with her “RHOBH” girls on Instagram.

Kim’s struggles with sobriety began shortly after filming wrapped on Season 5 of “RHOBH.” On April 15, she was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel after staff alerted local police that she was causing a scene inside the Polo Lounge. When authorities arrived they were forced to physically remove Kim from the property. Once in custody she is said to have kicked a police officer. Several months later, in August, she was arrested at a San Fernando Valley, California, Target for attempting to steal $600 worth of merchandise. She has claimed, on multiple occasions, that she is sober, though reports continue to surface claiming otherwise.
Bravo has not announced an official air date for Season 6 of “RHOBH.” Several members of the cast, including Kyle and Lisa Vanderpump, have been spotted filming in Beverly Hills.
