Reese Witherspoon recently attended the premiere of “Home Again” in East Hampton over the weekend.

On her Instagram account, the actress posted a GIF with her two “Home Again” co-stars, Pico Alexander and Jon Rudnitsky, and said that she always has a blast whenever she’s with them.

In the film, Witherspoon plays the role of Alice Kinney, a recently-separated mom dating a younger man. Amid her separation from her estranged husband (Michael Sheen), Alice’s mom (Candice Bergen) encourages her to rent out her house to three aspiring filmmakers. Their arrival will cause some complications in Alice and her boyfriend’s life, especially when their huge age gap starts to become an issue.

Other than her role in “Home Again,” Witherspoon may also return for Season 2 of HBO’s “Big Little Lies” as Madeline. As of late, there are still talks about a possible sequel for the limited series that aired only a total of seven episodes.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 41-year-old actress said that her co-star, Nicole Kidman, was the one who urged her to take on the character. “Being able to ask Nicole Kidman for acting advice was key to even deciding to do the part, because for a while I had a little trepidation about playing a character that I felt could be a little bit one-note. She really helped me. She said, ‘No, no, you have to, because the show needs to have a levity to it in order for us to all feel like we love these people so much that we don’t want anything bad to happen to them. And you create empathy through comedy,’” she said.

Meanwhile, “Big Little Lies” director Jean Marc-Valle spoke with Deadline to share that it was Witherspoon who made him sign up for project. “Reese Witherspoon changed my life, made me a tired man,” he joked. “I got invited by Reese to direct, and we talked. They knew I was attached to do ‘Sharp Objects’ the next year, and ‘Sharp Objects’ wasn’t ready”

Valle told Witherspoon that he will only helm two episodes of the five since seven is just too much for him, and the actress agreed. But when they started filming, Witherspoon encouraged him to sign up for more episodes. Initially, there were supposed to be eight installments for the limited series, but it was cut down to seven so Valle agreed to finish the entire show.
