‘Riverdale’
Is Alice Cooper (Madchen Amick) hiding a secret from her past in “Riverdale” Season 1? The CW

“Riverdale” Season 1 recently revealed that Alice Cooper (Madchen Amick) is from the Southside.

In episode 10, titled “Chapter Ten: The Lost Weekend,” Alice’s connection with FP (Skeet Ulrich) was also teased. The latter is a Southside Serpent so Alice was automatically linked to the mysterious group. While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said that they are already preparing for Season 2, but they are still thinking about how Alice’s arc will play out.

“We just started with the writers’ room for Season 2 and we’ve been talking about that a lot. What we learn in this episode is she’s from the Southside, but stepped out of it and cleaned herself up and became the perfect mother. We’re going to explored much more about what Alice’s backstory is both in this season and in Season 2,” he said.

Meanwhile, “Riverdale” Season 1 also centered on Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) birthday party. At the bash, Archie (KJ Apa) drank a little too much after he saw his mom, Mary (Molly Ringward), return to their town. Molly filed for divorce from Fred (Luke Perry) two years ago, and they are already finalizing it. Archie felt a little too emotional about the divorce and ended up getting drunk.

Elsewhere, Veronica (Camila Mendes) also struggled in episode 10 when she refused to stand as a character witness for her father. Upon learning this, Hiram, who hasn’t been show in the hit The CW series, wrote a letter addressed to Veronica. He threatened his own daughter about dragging Hermione (Marisol Nichols) to the ground if Veronica won’t testify in his favor. Towards the end of the episode, Archie and Veronica, who were both extremely drunk, slept with each other.

“Riverdale” Season 1 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
