Rupert Grint has reportedly joined the cast of the Brian Wilson biopic, The Drummer.

Grint will star aside Hugo actress, Chloe Grace Moretz.

The Harry Potter star is in talks to play an intern who befriended Wilson in his later years and Moretz will play Wilson's daughter, Jennifer.

The film will focus on the last six years of Wilson's life with Aaron Eckhart portraying him. It will show his alcohol addiction, friendship with Charles Manson and his relationship with Fleetwood Mac singer-songwriter Christine McVie, who will be played by Vera Farmiga.

Filming is scheduled to begin in June.
