Russia is going to supply more than 100 helicopters overseas later in 2015. Ivan Goncharenko, the first deputy director general of Russian arms exporter Rosoboronexport, has reportedly announced.

Russia would supply six Mil Mi-171Sh military and transport helicopters and one Mi-171E rotocraft to Bangladesh. The supply is a part of an agreement signed in April 2015, Russia's Tass news agency reported. Rosoboronexport also said that it would provide the Asian country a loan of $1 billion so that it could buy the helicopters.

"In particular, more than 60 various helicopters have been already delivered this year. In total, foreign customers will receive over 100 helicopters until the year-end," Tass quoted Goncharenko as saying. The company head was speaking ahead of the MAKS-2015 air show, which will be held near Moscow. He said that Rosoboronexport had delivered more than 100 helicopters abroad in 2014 as well.

The air show is going to be held in Zhukovsky outside Moscow from Aug. 25 to Aug. 30. More than 150 foreign companies and more than 600 Russian organizations are expected to participate at the event. Delegations from around 80 countries will attend the MAKS-2015.

Founded on Nov. 4, 2000, the Russia defense export company is the sole state explorer of defense products in Russia. According to the company, it took part in the seventh International Maritime Defense Show (IMDS 2015), held from July 1 to July 5 in St. Petersburg.

The company also said that it is the official sponsor of IMDS 2015 and a regular participant of all international naval shows in St. Petersburg held every two years at the Lenexpo Exhibition Center.
