Jackass star Ryan Dunn has died in a fatal car crash last Monday, but his death will not put an end to his rich legacy.

Dunn and his friend Zachary Daniel Hartwell were pronounced dead on Monday after his Porsche 911 GT3 crashed into a patch of trees and burst into flames. According to the reports, Dunn was said to be driving at around 140 mph and had blood alcohol content of 0.196 percent or nearly 2.5 time the permitted state limit (0.08 percent).

The news of the death came hard for the Jackass fans nationwide, and it is evident that Dunn was more than just a television prankster.

Bam Margera, a Jackass co-star and Dunn’s best friend, visited the accident site later and could not hold himself from crying in front of a camera.

“He was the happiest person, the smartest guy with so much talent,” said Margera to Fox 29. “It was the worst phone call I got in my life,” Margera added.

Dunn started receiving public attention by appearing in Margera’s CKY (Camp Kill Yourself) video series, where the members would do various stunts and pranks. In 2000, Dunn debuted in the famous Jackass reality TV comedy, along with Johnny Knoxville and Margera.

When the hit show went off the air in early 2002, the cast regrouped for a full-length film, Jackass: The Movie, which was released later that year. In the movie, Dunn drove a golf cart, runs over a giant pig statue and flips the cart over in the air.

The film generated more than $64 million in North America – quite impressive for a film that was made with a budget of $5 million. Two sequels – Jackass Number Two (2006) and Jackass 3D (2010) – and a special feature DVD Jackass 2.5 were produced. Dunn featured in all of them.

In addition to the Jackass movie, Dunn appeared in Viva La Bam, Homewrecker, and Proving Ground.

There will be three movies that are going to be released soon that filmed Dunn. Unfortunately, he will not be able to see the films on screen, but he will remain forever in the hearts of Jackass fans. One of the movies is Living Will where he is supposed to die, come back from the dead as a ghost, and hang out with his friends.
