Sandra Bullock rocked a pair of banana yellow-colored "Minions"-inspired high heels for the Los Angeles premiere of "Minions" on Saturday. She showed off the heels, complete with little Minion eyes painted on them. The custom-made Rupert Sanderson-designed shoes were the attraction of the red carpet.

The shoes are part of the Minions Bello Yellow Collection, which features clothing and accessories from a number of British labels, all inspired by the film and its 1960s London setting. Bullock voices the villainous character Scarlet Overkill in the movie, which opens July 10 and also stars Jon Hamm and Allison Janney.

Bullock walked the carpet solo, wearing a chic black and yellow dress and trendy sunglasses. But it was her "Minions"-inspired pumps that got everyone talking. She posed for photographers and talked to reporters on the red carpet.

But the real fun happened at the afterparty, which Bullock’s 5-year-old son Louis also attended. Louis took his mom’s hand at the party and carnival. The pair watched party attendees ride the giant "Minions" slide before going back inside to meet some friends.

But Bullock doesn’t need the shoes to get into her “Minions” character. The star told Us Weekly that she is literally already a Minion. “I’m always in a Minion state of mind. It’s impossible for people to understand me,” she said. The actress added that she is constantly making odd sounds and things are always a disaster wherever she goes. But she always manages to get out alive.

Bullock said she is thrilled to be the first woman supervillain in the film. She felt that Scarlet was such a great villain, that the Minions were drawn to follow her. The 50-year-old actress said she was proud to play a villain, saying it was the perfect role for her.

The Academy Award winner said she hasn't previously played a villain because it was difficult to find the right villain part. According to the actress, few villain roles are written for women.
