Sarah Jessica Parker has opened up about the real score on the possibility of seeing “Sex and the City 3” come to life.

In an interview with E! News while at the 2017 Golden Globes, the actress said that there is still hope for the movie to be done, but right now, a concrete step has not been made. “The truth of the matter is there is no script,” Parker said. “There’s never been a script. The idea remains a real possibility but when is the right time? I guess that’s what it all boils down to -- when! So we’ll see.”

The actress also said that she had not been teasing details but merely answering questions. “I’m asked the question and keep trying to find new ways of answering because it’s so boring or [not] to crush this idea,” Parker said.

Parker has always been vocal about wanting to do another movie based on the cult-favorite series in which she starred alongside Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.

During an appearance on “CBS Sunday Morning,” Parker said the idea of a third movie “rests in the butler’s pantry. It’s not on the table, but somebody is holding it fairly nearby.”

She’s not the only “SATC” star to talk about wanting another movie. Davis has also expressed her desire to tell another story about the beloved girls of the series. Speaking with People, the actress said that she feels like there is another story left for the girls to tell, and she will definitely be on board the project if it ever gets greenlit. “I would be up for anything Sarah Jessica and Michael Patrick King think is right,” Davis added.

“Sex and the City” ran from 1998 to 2004 on HBO. The first movie adaptation of the series was released in May 2008. The second movie premiered in May 2010.
