It's hard to know what Italian Welfare Minister Elsa Fornero is saying, unless you speak Italian, but in announcing pension reforms recently she got rather emotional.

From la Republica in Italy via the news organization's Republica TV, watch the video of Fornero's heartbreaking moment when she announced that seniors on fixed incomes in Italy shall suffer more financial hardship.

According to Business Insider, a partial translation of Fornero's teary statement is this: I'm sorry. The people who work have no more money to give you. As a result, the pension age will go to 62 years old for woman, and 65 years old for man.

No longer can we afford to give you a raise every year for inflation of prices, so you will not get this.
