The long delayed ‘My Mother’s curse’ starring Barbara Streisand and Seth Rogen has finally been given the green signal by Paramount Pictures.

The comedy is set to start filming this spring and will most probably be released in early 2012.

The film is a road trip comedy and has been scripted by Disney veteran Dan Fogelman who has written Cars Tangled and Bolt. It will be directed by Anne Fletcher who helmed The Proposal and 27 Dresses.

The story is about an inventor who takes his mother along on a road trip while trying to sell his product and planning a reunion with her old flame.

Seth Rogen moved into the noticeable actors’ category after his Knocked Up role, before that he played a major part in the 40-year old Virgin and was a part of Zack and Miri Make a Porno. He has done voice- overs for Kung-Fu Panda and Monsters and Aliens

Most recently, Streisand played the role of a doting, dotty mother to Ben Stiller in 'Little Fockers.' She is also all set to star in the remake of the Broadway musical hit Gypsy.

Road trip comedies are generally accepted well at the box office. Little Miss Sunshine and Due Date are the recent ones which have done quite well. The 2000 made Road Trip is another one which did above average business.
