‘Shades of Blue’
Will Harlee Santos (Jennifer Lopez) be able to gain Wozniak's (Ray Liotta) trust back in "Shades of Blue" Season 2? NBC

“Shades of Blue” Season 2 will be heavily focused on trust.

In the latest teaser released by NBC (via Spoilers Guide), Harlee Santos’ (Jennifer Lopez) and Michael Wozniak’s (Ray Liotta) talk about each other while their still photos flash on the screen. Harlee sounds disappointed over her inability to protect the people she loves the most without hurting them along the way. Wozniak is still feeling hurt over Harlee’s decision to stab him in the back. Even though he ultimately took the fall for his team, Wozniak will continue to question Harlee’s motives.

“Shades of Blue” Season 2 was renewed by NBC in June 2016. Immediately after the network’s announcement, Lopez told E! News that she is excited to reprise her role. But even though the series received praise and relatively good ratings during its first season, the “All I Have” singer admitted that she was unsure whether or not it will be picked up. “You don’t know. You never know. You believe in the project, you believe in the characters… We had an interesting story to tell it’s just how that all comes together. You never know… That’s kind of the exciting thing about creating shows,” she said.

Liotta also seconded Lopez’s statement during an interview with Deadline last year. According to the veteran actor, he is excited that “Shades of Blue” was renewed. Even more so, he is pleased that the series only has a total of 13 episodes per season because it helps keep the stories fresh and worth tuning into.

“Shades of Blue” also stars Sarah Jeffery as Christina Santos, Hampton Fluker as Marcus Tufo, Drea de Matteo as Tess Nazario, Warren Kole as Robert Stahl, Dayo Okeniyi as Michael Loman and more.
